XNOR gate is also called equivalence gate, ENOR, Exclusive AND, and XAND. SN74LS266, 74HC266, and 4077 ICs are examples of XNOR. This gate produces negative output when inputs are of the same logic.

The applications of the XNOR logic gate include traffic signals and microprocessors. These are also used to detect even parity or odd parity bits within digital data transmission circuits. This gate is mainly used within arithmetic & encryption circuits.
