The operational amplifiers can respond to both direct current signals and alternating current signals. Alternating current amplifiers that is AC amplifiers are categorized into two types they are inverting AC amplifiers and non-inverting AC amplifiers.  

Ideal operational amplifiers are zero output impedance, infinite frequency bandwidth, infinite gain for differential input, and infinite input impedance. The open loop voltage gains and input resistance ideal values are infinite in amplifiers. 

The gain bandwidth product, pull power bandwidth, and open loop gain/phase has come under frequency domain specifications. The slew rate, settling time, and overshoot come under time domain specifications.  

The open loop voltage gain, input resistance, output resistance, and supply voltage are the parameters of amplifiers. The thermostat controlling room temperature, and pupil diameter adjustment to light intensity are examples of negative feedback. The negative feedback helps to overcome distortion and non-linearity.
