All the Instrumentation Amplifier Questions & Answers given below include a hint and a link wherever possible to the relevant topic. This is helpful for users who are preparing for their exams, interviews, or professionals who would like to brush up on the fundamentals of Instrumentation Amplifier.

An instrumentation amplifier is basically a difference amplifier. The instrumentation system consists of two blocks are transducer and a signal conditioner. The transducer is basically a device that is used to convert one form of energy into another form, in many consumer and industrial applications the measurement & control of quantities such as pressure, temperature, and humidity is required.

We can’t apply the physical quantity directly to any other system, therefore it is very much important to convert the physical quantity into an equivalent electrical signal, so the conversion process done by the device is called a transducer.

The output obtained from the transducer can’t be directly applied to the instrumentation system because the output of the transducer is a very low-level signal, therefore, it is necessary to signal conditioning to process the signal properly so that it can derive the instrumentation system.

The signal conditioner performs various functions like amplification, attenuation of the signal, filtering of signal, sampling, integration, differentiation, addition, subtraction, and many more operations. So, when the operations are performed on the signal, the signal gets into the form, so that it can derive the further instrumentation system.
