October 17, 2022 By WatElectronics

This article lists 50 Multistage Amplifier MCQs for engineering students. All the Multistage Amplifier Questions & Answers given below include a hint and a link wherever possible to the relevant topic. This is helpful for users who are preparing for their exams, interviews, or professionals who would like to brush up on the fundamentals of Multistage Amplifier.

An amplifier is an electric type of device used for the amplification of a signal. This construction has replaced the initial device triode vacuum tube. The quality of operation of an amplifier depends on device parameters such as Gain, bandwidth, linearity, noise, efficiency, and more.

They can be connected in a negative or positive feedback fashion. These amplifiers can be single-stage amplifiers, dual-stage amplifiers or multistage amplifiers based on the output required from the device.

For obtaining better efficiency from the device the amplifier is connected to multiple amplifier stages, where the output of one amplifier is given as input to another amplifier. Multistage amplifiers are classified into 3 types namely RC coupling, transformer type coupling, and direct coupling type amplifier.

The multistage amplifier benefit in terms of flexibility, greater gain achievement, and in and out impedance factor. But lack in terms of noise, minimum power gain, and minimum voltage gain. The applications include voltage amplifiers, final stage-based amplifiers, and audio amplifiers.
