Pneumatic System Question & Answers

August 28, 2022 By WatElectronics

This article lists 50 Pneumatic System MCQs for engineering students. All the Pneumatic System Questions & Answers given below include a hint and a link wherever possible to the relevant topic. This is helpful for users who are preparing for their exams, interviews, or professionals who would like to brush up on the fundamentals of the Pneumatic System.

The pneumatic system is simple in construction, the maintenance cost is less, and it is one type of open loop control system. The working fluid in the pneumatic system is air and the air is inflammable and compressible, hence air can be pressurized to lesser pressure. The pneumatic systems are less bulky and the accuracy of the system is not high when compared to the hydraulic system.

The pneumatic system doesn't require any special attention and contamination control. The valve operations are easy in pneumatic systems and lighter in weight. The pneumatic systems are free from fire hazards and the compressors in the systems are used to provide compressed gases.

The pneumatic systems are used to reduce labor costs, reduce machine investment costs, increase productivity, and reduce human efforts. The compressors, check valves, accumulators, directional valves, and actuators are the basic components of pneumatic systems.

The compressors pressurize the air, the check valve prevents backflow into the compressor, the accumulator smooths air flow and unwanted disturbances, directional valves stores energy and reduce turbulence, and the actuator transfers air energy into motion exam air chisel.
