This article lists 100 Repeaters MCQs for engineering students. All the Repeaters Questions & Answers given below include a hint and a link wherever possible to the relevant topic. This is helpful for users who are preparing for their exams, or interviews, or professionals who would like to brush up on the fundamentals of Repeaters.

The repeaters are categorized based on repeater type, network connection, and domain of LAN. The analog and digital repeaters are based on the type of repeater, the wired and wireless repeaters are based on a network connection, and local and remote repeaters are based on the domain of LANs.

A satellite repeater is an electronic assembly that ensures the amplification of signals and frequency gain functions. The frequency gain is one of the functions of a satellite repeater which avoids interference between the powerful transmitted signal and the weak incoming signal.

The transparent repeater and processing repeaters are the type of communication repeaters. Transparent repeaters are widely used in all communication spacecraft and the processing repeaters provide performance characteristics.

The regenerative repeaters are used in communication systems, handling digital signals. The advantage of regenerative repeaters is improved overall error rate performance and ease of amplification at baseband. The repeaters are also used in satellite communication. The regenerative repeater is used at the regularly spaced interval and the timing information is extracted from the received signal.
