This article lists 75 Temperature Sensor MCQs for Engineering Students. The Temperature Sensor Questions & Answers below include solutions and links to the relevant topic. This is helpful for users who are preparing for their exams and interviews, or professionals who would like to brush up on the fundamentals of the Temperature Sensor.

We know that we can measure temperature using a thermometer, this is a very basic design used for hundreds of years. It’s simply a sealed glass tube, which is partly filled with liquid-like alcohol or mercury. S head is applied, and the liquid expands and rises up the column.

The height of the column is divided up and marked to correlate it with known temperatures, for example, water boils at 100 degrees Celsius, so as the liquid expands and contracts, we can easily read the temperature.

This method is easy for humans to use but it's slow, it's not the most reliable or accurate, so we need a fast and accurate way to take digital temperature readings which will allow computers and controllers to accurately monitor and autonomously control systems.

The thermistor general-purpose, resistance temperature devices, thermocouples, and semiconductors temperature sensors are the typical characteristics of the temperature sensors. The excitation or power is needed in thermistor general purpose and resistance temperature devices but not needed in thermocouples and semiconductors temperature sensors.
