This article lists 25 Random Process MCQs for engineering students. All the Random Process Questions & Answers given below include a hint and a link wherever possible to the relevant topic. This is helpful for users who are preparing for their exams, interviews, or professionals who would like to brush up on the fundamentals of the Random Process.

In digital communication, the random process is a function of discrete and continuous random variables and discrete and continuous time. A general stochastic or random variable is observed at different times and collections of time functions corresponding to various outcomes of random experiments.

The channel noise interference information generated by a source, daily stream flow, hourly rainfall of storm events, and stock index, are examples of random processes. Another name for a random process is the stochastic model. In a stochastic model, variables depend on time and probability, and the process could have two sources of variability (demographic and environmental).

The stochastic or random process captures variations from mean behavior. The stochasticity can excite the system to sustained oscillations or can drive strategy to extinction and is often harder to analyze mathematically. The Quasi-stationary distribution comes under persistence, time to extinction.

The stochastic and where resonance comes under oscillatory behavior, stochastic simulation algorithm and agent-based simulations come under computational approaches analysis of the random or stochastic process. The persistence, extinction, oscillatory behavior, and computational approaches are the analysis of the stochastic process.
